THE BEST MOTORCYCLE RENTAL DEALS ON THE NET.

Rental Motorcycles and Motorcycle Tours in New Zealand have been our business since 1987 when Te Waipounamu Motorcycle Tours was established. This makes us the worlds most experienced rental motorcycle company. We offer the greatest range of motorcycles, many different styles of tours and the choice of locations. We are THE specialist in this field. It's all we do, its not a part time money maker or a tag-on to a motorcycle shop with a few extra motorcycles to spare. Our prices are reasonable and our service first class. We have many repeat customers who appreciate this and what the country has to offer.
The popularity of New Zealand as a motorcycle destination is well justified.New Zealand is the way life in the rest of the world used to be. Or, perhaps more precisely, the way life was meant to be. It is a place where people remember you, where tips are unexpected, smog is unheard of and a place where you will be listened to and cared about.
From the beauty of the harbours and seashore to the awesome snow capped Southern Alps, New Zealand offers one delightful surprise after another. One of the biggest surprises is that the country is not swamped with tourists, and that the citizens treat a traveller with friendly generosity often lacking in other parts of the world.
Add to that excellent, traffic-free roads, ever-changing scenery and you have the ideal location for a wonderful motorcycle holiday.

FAQ
Where should I go ?
Everybody, absolutely everybody agrees the South Island is the jewel in the crown of New Zealand.
The highest mountains, glorious rainforests, lakes of azure blue, the hottest and coldest of places, the quietest roads and best curves are in the South. No question ! The South Island should be the focus of any motorcycle trip in New Zealand.
For any motorcycle rental less than 14 days we would recommend the South Island, for 3 weeks spend 2 weeks in the South and one in the North. You won’t regret it and a quick look at our tour itineraries will confirm this.
What should I ride ?
New Zealand does not have any autobahn or interstate highways so while the riding may not be fast, not much of it is in a straight line either! Very Large motorcycles can be more of a hindrance in New Zealand conditions. Here’s a quick guide for the models we have,
Luggage - All bikes (except 250's & 500's) have hard lockable sidecases either BMW issue or Givi 36 litre saddlebags. Topboxes are available on request. Kawasaki GPZ500 has lockable topbox and soft saddlebags. There are a limited number of tank bags available, whether these are used or you bring your own, the tanks must be protected with a cover or duct tape. Scratches can be expensive.
Safety
All rental motorcycles comply with NZ Government regulations and have passed a vehicle safety inspection. All motorcycles have been maintained to the highest professional standards. There are no short cuts and no cheap fixes. This is our guarantee.

Insurance
Full Insurance is included in the rental fee. (with a collision / damage excess and bond that ranges from $1000 - $3750 depending on the motorcycle rented) This insurance covers accident, fire, theft, third party damage and public liability.
Because of New Zealand's publicly funded accident compensation scheme, no fault insurance is provided to users of motor vehicles.
This means nobody can be sued by any other party involved in an accident in any circumstances. Normal insurance takes care of damage to the vehicles and the New Zealand health system takes care of the injuries.
Our insurance cover precludes any cover at all for those under 21 years of age and restricts those between 21 and 25 to 600cc or less.
Standard bonds and excess ($1000 - $3750 depending on the motorcycle rented) can be substantially reduced by our bond buyout scheme.
Subject to the exclusions set out below, the hirer and any rider authorised to ride the motorcycle is fully indemnified in respect of any liability he might have to the owners in respect of the loss of, or damage to the motorcycle and its accessories and spare parts in any consequential loss of revenue or other expenses to the owners, including towing and salvage cost associated with the recovery of the vehicle and its accessories and spare parts.
