These enthusiasts dream of the opportunity to tour the world on their dream Harley, Honda or BMW motorcycle but unlike Malcolm Forbes, find the logistics and costs prohibitive. EagleRider caters to this market segment, providing them the opportunity to experience the open road without costing them a fortune.

ERA Rental Terms

The motorcycle is the symbol of the open road. It stands for freedom, independence, and self-reliance. A motorcycle makes a powerful statement about its rider and what he or she stands for. More than anything else, the motorcycle has become synonymous with adventure. Choose between late model Harley-Davidsons®, BMWs, Hondas, and more.

Requirements for a Motorcycle Rental
- You must be at least 21 years old.
- You must have a valid motorcycle class driver's license.
- You must have a major credit card.

All Motorcycle Rentals Include:

Full Tank of Fuel (A fee of $30 will be debited from your credit card if returned without a full tank)

Customer Orientation
Every client will receive orientation to the motorcycle. The client orientation will cover all aspects of safe motorcycle operation, the clients' maintenance responsibilities, local and state laws.

Storage
EagleRider will provide storage for client luggage, airline tickets, and other valuables free of charge, however at clients' risk.

Fuel
Fuel costs are client's responsibility. EagleRider claims no responsibility for motorcycle fuel consumption and mileage. Pre Pay your first tank of gas or return vehicle full. Charge of $25 if not purchased and vehicle needs refueling.

Helmets
Helmets are provided with all motorcycle rentals and all tours. Clients are encouraged to bring their own helmets for comfort and style reasons. In addition, helmets may be purchased at many of EagleRider's rental stations. Helmets are required by law in most locations.

Additional Drivers
1 additional drivers permitted at no extra charge. The minimum age for additional drivers is 21 and a valid motorcycle license is required.

Maintenance Responsibility
The customer is responsible for checking engine oil levels at each refuelling and reporting mechanical failures immediately. Instructions and procedures for maintenance expense reimbursement are provided at pick-up. Customers may be held responsible for mechanical damage due to negligence in motorcycle operation or failure to provide normal maintenance.

Motorcycle Substitution
EagleRider reserves the right to substitute the motorcycle confirmed to rental client. Should EagleRider not be able to provide confirmed motorcycle a similar or better model will be provided to the client. This constitutes the maximum liability of EagleRider.

Security Deposit
A security deposit of $1000 - $3000 will be taken at pick-up (Authorization Only). Security deposit must be processed via valid credit card.

Restrictions
Violation of listed restrictions voids all VIP Theft & Damage Waivers and client will be held liable for damages. Road Restriction: Rental street motorcycles are not allowed on gravel roads, beaches, logging or other non-public roads. Mexico Restriction: Clients cannot enter Mexico on a USA bike without written authorization or accompanied by an EagleRider Guide. Death Valley WARNING: Entering Death Valley during the months of June & August is dangerous and not recommended.

Return Policy
A rental day is 24 hours. A fee of $25/hour may apply for vehicles returned late.

Refund Policy
All confirmed rental reservations are non-refundable. No refunds on early returns.

Travel & Trip Cancellation Insurance
Together with our insurance partner Travelguard we are happy to be able to provide you with key travel insurance coverages such as trip cancellation, interruption and delay, travel accident, personal effects, medical expenses, and hotel overbookings. IMPORTANT: Please also note that the "Collision Damage Waiver" offered by Travelguard excludes Motorcycles, ATV's, and Watercrafts.

Insurance Policies and Surcharges
State mandatory liability insurance is included in your rental. Please check with your rental station which are the state requirements. You are not insurred for Damage or Theft. EagleRider offers several options from upgrading your Liability or Damage Waiver. Please carefully check your requirements. Because motorcycle rentals are considered an exotic rental most credit cards and insurance do not transfer the same way as they do with normal car rentals. PLEASE always check your credit company or insurance company for coverage.

Supplemental Liability Insurance
Insurance protects Renter against claims made by a third party for bodily injury and/or property damage sustained as a result of an accident. Renter supplemental Liability Insurance Benefit is $1,000,000.

Enhanced Vip Theft & Damage Waiver
Theft or Damage : Renters pays up to $1000 deductible / occurence. Breakdown: Renter is provided up to $75/day for a replacement rental and refund of daily rate. Flat Tire Coverage : Covers Tire Repair and Labor. TOWING IS NOT COVERED.

Vip Theft & Damage Waiver
Collision & Theft Waiver for Motorcycle: Renter pays up to $2000 deductible / occurrence. Breakdown Protection is $35 per day for a replacement rental and refund of daily rate. Flat Tire Coverage is not included. TOWING IS NOT COVERED.

Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that clients ensure they take out the highest level of travel insurance. In many cases this will cover any losses incurred if you are forced to cancel your booking.

Booking Terms
- Reservation must be paid in full to guarantee rate and rental date.
- Reservations are non-refundable.
- Discount rates are subject to blackout dates and availabilty.
- All rental models and rates vary by location and season.

What is included in the rental?
Every EagleRider rental includes one half-helmet. 3/4 helmets and full helmets are available on a request basis subject to availability. Each bike also comes with two locks - a disk lock and spoke lock. Additional helmets, jackets, chaps, gloves and other accessories are also available for rental, but not included in the Bike rental rate quote.

What is your payment policy?
All reservations are on a pre-paid basis, meaning we charge your credit card for the full rental at time of booking the reservation. This ensures that your bike is available and waiting for you when you arrive at the rental location. EagleRider accepts American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Diners Club, and Discover.

Do you deliver the bike? If so, what is the cost?
Bike delivery varies by location. Typically an EagleRider location will pick you up if you are within 5 miles of the EagleRider location.

What is your gasoline policy?
EagleRider rents motorcycles with a full gas tank. The vehicle needs to be returned full of gasoline upon return. Vehicles returned with a less than full gas tank or subject to a refueling charge. Renters may also pre-pay for gasoline, allowing them to return the gas tank empty.

How are mechanical breakdowns handled?
Every renter is provided with a toll free emergency telephone number at pick-up. In case of a mechanical breakdown our staff will arrange for towing to the nearest EagleRider location or repair facility. Please also refer to our VIP/E-VIP terms and conditions.

What happens when I get a flat tire?

Does ER offer sidecars?

What kind of driver's license is required to rent from ER?
You must have a valid motorcycle license to rent a motorcycle from EagleRider. International customers: If your license allows you to legally ride the same type of bike in your home country, you can rent from us. The license from your country is sufficient, - you don't have to get an international drivers license.

Do you offer jackets, chaps, gloves, helmets or other accessories?
Helmets are included in your rental rates. Most locations have a good selection of Helmets, chaps, gloves, and other accessories available for purchase. Some locations also have rental jackets available.

When two people are on one bike, does the insurance cover both of them?If two people are authorized to drive, do both need to buy insurance?
Yes, when optional Supplemental Liability Insurance is purchased a time of rental. If two people are authorized to drive, do both need to buy insurance? Yes.

Does ER rent bike's one-way?
Absolutely. EagleRider is the leader in one-way motorcycle rentals worldwide. You can drop off the motorcycle at any EagleRider location. One-way fees will apply to any one-way rental.

Do you rent GPS systems?
Starting April 1, 2009 EagleRider will rent GPS units in most locations.

What kind of drivers license do I need to rent a bike?
To rent a bike with EagleRider you need to have a valid Motorcycle Drivers License from your home country. Having an International Drivers license is not enough.

Do the motorbikes have a cigarette lighter plug to allow for a GPS to be powered from the bike?
The Harley-Davidson® Street Glide®, Electra Glide®, Road Glide® Honda GoldWing, and the Harley Trikes and Honda Trike have power outlets built into the fairing that allow you to plug in your Global Positioning Unit. Other Bikes in the EagleRider inventory do not have power outlets.

Is the rental based upon a calendar day or rental day?
Rentals are based upon a 24 hour period. If you pick up the bike at 10:00 AM it is also due back at 10:00 AM.

Do you rent rain suits?
Rain suits can be purchased at some locations., though we do not rent them.

Can I take a rented ER Motorcycle across International borders, such as Seattle to Canada?
EagleRider Motorcycle Rentals are permitted across the Canadian border as long as the Motorcycle is returned to a rental location within the United States. The renter will be entirely and solely responsible for the bike and associated liability while in Canada. For questions regarding other international destinations please contact our reservations department.

Is there a place for me to store my luggage while renting a Bike from ER?
Yes, all EagleRider locations will store renter's luggage, free of charge. EagleRider does not assume liability for the luggage or contents, but will secure it during your rental period.

Does ER offer Helmet Comm's?
Yes, helmet communication devices are available for purchase at some rental locations.

Are the side saddlebags and the storage lockable?
Certain vehicles provide for lockable storage, the Harley Davidson Electra Glide, Harley Davison Road king Standard, Harley Davidson Street Glide, Honda Gold Win, Honda ST 1300, Victory Vision and the Victory Vision Touring vehicles include lockable storage.

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.

A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Car rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 25.00
To add or remove extras to/from a confirmed booking: 10.00
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 75.00
To add or remove extras to/from confirmed booking: 20.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
